These four songs are an exploration into some of the bleakest of moments people face in their overall lives. The realization that one specific embrace would be your last with someone you care about (sidekick / house music), feeling as if you are alone and abandoned by those you thought would always be there (Less Than Blessed), having a rather joyous and relaxing experience be plagued by thoughts of self doubt, distrust, and anxiety (Happy Hour) and coming to terms with the reality that the person you once thought was perfect is flawed, and that they now see the flaws in you as well (Common Shades).

Over the course of seven years, Marco Alvarado, aka Downer, spent a copious amount of time meticulously crafting songs and melodies that not only are inspired by the various sub genres of rock that he has explored but that also challenged him to venture into new musical territory. By incorporating influences from shoegaze, surf rock, lofi, indie, and emo, he delivers a sound that shows nothing but potential.
